Although Raleigh is the State Capital of North Carolina, for years it was not much to do. You had to travel hours a way to be introduced to something new, or to have a good time; and oftentimes that meant planning a weekend getaway trip. Since then, Raleigh has grown so much. When it comes to night life, we are now one of the coolest and creative places in North Carolina, and a city that welcomes The Arts. Our vibrant and diverse community offers delicious cuisines from around the world and being just minutes from downtown, you can find theaters, night clubs, galleries, gourmet markets, craft fairs, and many other spots. And although you'll find that there are plenty of night life things to get into in the area, there are not that many small intimate areas that are providing more than just to have a hangout space and a drink. The House ventured out to create more than just your next new hangout spot. With a quick change of the setup indoors to fit the event that we’re hosting, we’ve also added an additional component which would set us apart. This would help us create the culture that we wanted- a place where business professionals, creatives and like-minded individuals could be introduced to opportunities; connect, collaborate, create and possibly conceive new ideas to start, improve, or expand their businesses. Any event we host (our house parties) is geared towards providing a one-of-a-kind experience for our members and guests. Dinner Events
Well, a house would not be a home with out some delicious food offered in the space would it! We are pleased to partner with local food trucks, chefs and catering companies for our in-house events, helping to showcase the skills of local talent and small business owners.

We are also pleased to promote our “POP-UP Chefs”! . In the Winter months, it is our goal to try and feature at least one chef to showcase his/her arts in culinary. Invites are sent out at least 2 weeks in advance and we create the guest lists for our chef. Surveys are given out for members to fill out after the event to give feedback to the chef. The comments left will give the chef and idea of what people enjoy about their cooking and if a food business or restaurant is something they would like to pursue. Again, it is our mission at The HOUSE, to Help Others Unlock, Strategize and Excel in the thing they are called to do..

Another favorite dinner event of our members, is our Dinner-in-the-Dark Events, where we have food prepared by a chef and invite our members and their guests to dine in, except this occasion requires you to eat in the dark, allowing you to get in touch with your other senses.

For any evening events we usually off a variety of charcuterie boards, provided with an array of fruit, cheeses and some dipped chocolate strawberries added. Whether its enjoyed with tea, coffee, cocktails or mocktails, we believe we have some of the best drinks in town!
Seminars, Workshops & Trainings
The House have put together some exclusive training, seminars and workshops to those who filled called to venture out and start their own business. Our classes are tailor-made to fit certain kinds of groups at a particular time. We have workshops to help drive customer sales or just to focus on better customer service. We have sessions for the entrepreneur at heart that loves to design and create and want to put out in the world the thing that is in their head. All of our workshops are designed be taught for a 1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 4-week courses. We also invite other experts to come and deliver workshops in their field and make it available to our members and guests as well.

In this fun escape, you'll get lost in time, and experience next level hospitality, as you enjoy delectable teas from all over the world along with small but delicious, sweet and savory bites; all in an upscale setting, bringing you tons of laughs, whether you come alone or with friends, you'll be surrounded by beautiful women.
The Ivy is proud to partner with some of our area most talented chefs. For our specialty afternoon tea and high teas, we use local bakeries to bring in fresh and delicious baked goods. . We are looking forward to providing you a tea experience like no other.
The Ivy Tea Experience is available by reservation only and a ticket must be purchased in advance to enter.
Who We Are
The Ivy Social House @ 1731 also known as The House Vineu is a private social club, event lounge and business cafe’ exclusively for Members and their Guests. Tucked away at the back end of a business complex, and located just minutes from downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, The House is a 2800 square foot office space that's been converted to offer a warm and homey vibe, highlighting certain features with nice furnishings to make it relaxing and inviting. We provide comfortable accommodations in our cafe', bar and lounge area, where you can relax, read, study, as well as the stage area for performances and entertainment. The House Vineu was designed with a mission to provide entrepreneurs, business professionals, creatives and like-minded individuals with a community to connect, collaborate and create new businesses or friendships. We like to think of it as the ultimate gathering place to mix business with pleasure!

OUR PURPOSE

Established for the express purpose of “Spreading Southern Hospitality with a Unique & Creative Twist”, the design and concept was inspired by owners Will and Andrea Pretty, who are both natives of North Carolina. With a huge passion for entertaining family and friends, as well as their love for hospitality and entrepreneurship, they’ve used their experiences and backgrounds for both fields to create their vision for The House Vineu aka The Ivy. Their idea was to create a playground where work and learning could be incorporated together to provide a fun place for those who are ambitious about living a fuller, freer and more productive life! With the House being also a resource center, it was the Prettys, objective to provide and deliver to it’s members a way by which they could enjoy life enrichment and educational services, along with events and entertainment- and all under one roof. From the amenities within, to the design of services to include social clubs, programs as well as exclusive events hosted at the venue; the husband and wife team have dedicated all of what they’ve learned over the years to doing just that. With each visit, our desire is that our members and guests will learn to laugh a little more...love a little more.... and live a little more!

The House encompasses almost every form of art when it comes to their calendar of events and entertainment and we are always looking to showcase the next rising artist whether their art form is music, design, poetry, cooking, etc. It is home to drawing jams, paint parties, book clubs, and writer's evening.

Whether you’re looking for an intimate jazz club setting, disco with a hot DJ, or Caribbean flair, The House has it on it's calendar. We strive to be a place where the most fun and innovative bands, artists, and musicians flock to our place for its creative energy and diverse music scene to also showcase their talent. Our social events can range nightly from Karaoke, to Spoken Word, Game Night to monthly signature events like Murder Mystery Parties, which are popular during October. We also host Magic Shows, Ladies Tea Parties, Soulful Sundays and more! No matter what bar or lounge you go to, you’ll experience tailor-made events at The House that you couldn’t get anywhere else.

Other amenities for our members to enjoy, are flat screen tvs, books, board games and more; all in a lounge setting complete with comfortable seating and date night lighting.
